Coil low, then fire up like you're launching.

Keep your core braced and body in one line, don't pike at the hips as you launch.
Coiling into a deep angled squat while leaning into the straps loads the quads like a spring, then the explosive drive up and forward fires them along with the glutes through full extension. The forward lean changes the force angle compared with a vertical squat, letting you push through a longer drive line while the straps carry you through the finish. It earns its place as an explosive leg move with a soft landing, power work you can repeat for reps without pounding your joints.
Explosive leg drive through a long range. The deep angled coil pre-loads your quads and glutes, and the launch teaches them to fire hard through full extension, with the straps managing the return.
The body angle. Jump squats go vertical from an upright stance, rocket launchers drive up and forward from a deep lean into the straps, so the legs push through a longer, more angled line without leaving the ground as violently.
Piking means your core gave out at the moment of drive. Brace before you launch, keep your body in one line as the cue demands, and shallow the coil until the line survives the explosion.
