Hands in the straps, and now your chest fights gravity and the wobble.

Brace your whole body so the handles do not swing, walk your feet forward to make it easier.
Gripping handles instead of the floor means your chest presses through a deeper range while every fibre fights the sideways drift the free-hanging straps introduce. The triceps drive the lockout and the shoulders stabilise constantly, working overtime to keep two independent handles moving on one path. It earns its place as the push up with a built-in difficulty dial, walk your feet forward for an easier angle or back for a steeper one, with stabiliser work included at every setting.
Different, and often harder rep for rep. The handles allow a deeper chest stretch and force your shoulders to stabilise free-moving grips, while the floor gives you a fixed, more loadable benchmark. Both belong in rotation.
Walk your feet forward so your body is more upright, exactly as the cue suggests. The more vertical you stand, the less bodyweight your chest has to press.
The straps punish any lapse in bracing. Squeeze the handles, lock your body into a rigid plank, and slow your reps down until the handles track quietly.
