A rotational pull that builds explosive core power.

Drive the rotation from your hips and core, not just a tugging arm.
The hip throw is rotational power on straps, your back muscles ripping one handle toward the armpit while hips and torso fire around as one unit, and the core transferring the drive from the ground up. The back pulls, the core connects, and the free arm reaching long toward the anchor exaggerates the turn you have to control back from. It earns its place with anyone training for sports, because it lets you produce rotation fast, something rows and planks train slowly or not at all.
Explosive rotation. It teaches your hips, core and back to fire in sequence and produce turning power fast, the same chain behind throwing, striking and swinging movements.
Explosive on the way round, controlled back to square. The rotation is meant to be fired from the hips, but returning sloppily wastes half the exercise.
You are tugging the handle with your arm instead of throwing your hips. Start the movement from the hips every rep, the arm should feel like a strap connecting torso to handle.
