Lunge forward, open the chest, feel the stretch.

Let the straps pull your arms open gently, lengthening the chest as you lunge.
Stepping forward into the lunge loads the quads through the front leg while your arms sweep wide on the taut straps, using the sinking motion to draw a long stretch across the chest and the front of the shoulders. The lunge gives it a strength component, the arm sweep gives it the opener, and the timing links the two so the stretch deepens exactly as you sink. It earns its place in warm-ups and mobility blocks, prepping hips and opening a desk-tightened chest in one flowing rep.
Both, deliberately. The forward lunge works your quads while the strap-guided arm sweep opens the chest, which makes it ideal as a warm-up move before pressing or leg sessions.
As you sink into the lunge, so the stretch peaks at the bottom. Opening early or late breaks the flow and shortchanges the chest opener.
Across the chest and into the front of the shoulders is normal. Sharp pinching is not, shorten the arm sweep and let the straps pull gently rather than yanking wide.
