Press one side, light up your core too.

Brace hard and resist the rotation. Keep your torso square the whole time.
Pressing one handle from a chest-height cable loads a single pec through a horizontal press while the cable pulls you backward and into rotation, so your trunk has to hold square the entire set. The triceps finish each lockout as usual, but the standing, staggered position makes this as much a control drill as a chest builder. It earns its place for training pressing strength you can actually use standing up, one side at a time.
The cable is pulling your pressing side backward and you are not bracing against it. Tighten your core, squeeze the glute of your back leg, and lower the weight until your shoulders stay square.
It contributes, but the standing position caps how heavy you can go. Use it for balanced single-side work and control, and keep heavier lying presses in the plan for maximum chest loading.
Staggered, with the foot opposite your working arm forward. That base lets you resist the rotation without leaning your whole body into the cable.
