Squat with the padded yoke bar that's easy on cranky shoulders.

The bar tips you forward, so stay extra braced and keep your chest up to fight the lean.
The safety bar's camber shifts the load slightly forward of a normal back squat, so your quads work through a more upright, knee-forward squat while your glutes drive you out of the hole. The pad and neutral front handles remove the shoulder mobility toll entirely, which is why it is the go-to bar when a straight bar beats up your wrists or shoulders. The forward tip also punishes a soft brace, so it quietly builds squat posture along with leg size.
The cambered bar wants to fold you forward, so your upper back and brace work overtime just to stay upright. Most lifters squat a bit less with the safety bar than a straight bar. That is normal, not weakness.
That is exactly its specialty. You hold handles in front of your chest instead of forcing your arms behind the bar, so there is no external rotation demand on the shoulders at all.
It is still a squat, so your quads and glutes do the lifting. The forward pull adds an upper-back challenge, but if you feel it only in your back, slow down, re-brace, and keep your chest up out of the hole.
