Drill the clean and jerk pattern with a light PVC pipe.

Use the light load to nail crisp positions, speed under the bar over force.
Running the full clean and jerk with a pipe lets you rehearse every position, the pull, the front rack catch, the squat, the dip and drive, the split, at a load where nothing can go wrong. The quads carry the pattern, squatting to receive the clean and driving the dip on the jerk. It earns its place as the first stop for anyone learning the lift and as a permanent warm-up fixture even for experienced lifters, because crisp positions at zero load become crisp positions under a bar.
Because the barbell punishes technical errors and the pipe does not. You can rep positions dozens of times, build the timing and footwork, and none of it costs recovery.
Quality beats volume, think 3 to 5 crisp reps at a time with resets between them. Stop a set the moment positions get sloppy, sloppy reps groove sloppy habits.
When the sequence flows without thinking, flat-back setup, solid rack catch, vertical dip, confident split, and someone watching agrees. The empty bar is the next step, not loaded plates.
