Loosen the shoulders with one smooth circle.

Keep your arms straight, widen your grip if your shoulders feel jammed.
Sweeping a light pipe from your hips, overhead, behind your back and around again takes the shoulders through their full circle of motion with both arms locked straight, something almost nothing else in the gym does. Because the load is basically nothing, the shoulders can explore end ranges without guarding. It earns its place at the top of upper body sessions, especially before overhead pressing or snatching, where a stiff finish overhead costs you positions.
Wide enough that the circle feels smooth with straight arms. If your shoulders feel jammed or your elbows bend to survive the rep, slide your hands out further and narrow over time.
In your warm-up before pressing, snatching or anything overhead. A couple of slow sets in each direction is enough to open things up.
Same family. Dislocates usually pass straight over the top front to back, while around the worlds sweep in a circle side over side, so they cover slightly different paths through the shoulder.
