Rip it to the shoulders, then ride it deep.

Catch the clean with elbows whipping through fast so the bar sits on your delts, not your wrists.
This pairing catches the power clean high on the delts, then immediately takes the same bar into a full front squat, so your quads work twice, once exploding the bar up and once grinding out of the deep squat, with your glutes driving hip extension in both halves. It builds the leg strength and rack confidence that make heavier cleans possible. Lifters use it to get comfortable with weights they can pull but fear to ride down deep.
Close, but the order is deliberate. You catch high, stand, then squat, which trains the catch and the deep position as separate pieces, useful while riding a heavy clean straight into the hole still feels chaotic.
The bar should sit on your front delts with elbows whipped high, not resting on your wrists or throat. Loosen to a fingertip grip and drive the elbows up, and the rack becomes a shelf.
Keep it low, singles to triples. Each rep is two big efforts, and the quality of the catch and the squat position is the entire point.
