Kill the bounce and build raw upper-chest power.

A full pause means no bounce. Stay tight on the chest before you press.
Set at about 30 degrees, this press aims the work at your upper chest, with the shoulders and triceps sharing the load, and the dead pause on the chest removes the stretch reflex that usually helps you out of the bottom. Every rep starts from zero momentum, which forces honest pressing strength through the hardest part of the range. It is a go-to for lifters whose incline press stalls just off the chest.
About one second of complete stillness. The bar should settle, not sink, so stay tight with your shoulder blades pinned, then drive.
That is the whole point. Training from a dead stop builds strength at the chest position where most misses happen, so touch-and-go reps feel faster when you return to them.
Just wider than shoulder-width, the same as a standard incline press. The pause changes the tempo, not the setup.
